Digital Crew won the tender to develop the web presence for the new National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI) at the beginning of 2006.
The campus was built on a great setting on Cork Harbour. NMCI is a constituent college of Cork Institute of Technology in a partnership with the Irish Naval Service and Focus Education Ltd.
As the college is a brand new organisation it needed a strong web presence as this was going to be the primary window to its audience of potential students and other interested visitors.
The design of the site was created to give a maritime look and feel and to show off the world-class facilities of the college. The site contains a large amount of content particularly for the course information. This is all managed by NMCI staff using our CMS system, which handles the job easily. Also important, was the easy to use navigation and built in search so that users can find content quickly and easily.
